The Grand Old Game of Golf
On The Cheap!!

A little history... Oct. 2005, My wife, of 41 years, passed away & I was left in peace and quiet - March, 2006, My daughter, Sherry, of 59 years, sold her house and came to take care of me in my old age. March 2009, my grandson, Jimmy, of 37 years, came to take care of me & Sherry in our old age.

Because of Sherry, I was forced to build & maintain 2 business websites to keep her busy. Because of my old age & Sherry's business', I was forced to teach grandson, Jimmy, how to program in Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) so he can maintain Sherry's business when I'm gone.

Jimmy, being young and restless, needed to be kept busy so we designed and built several models of solar cookers. Finally we had a model that worked reaching temperatures of over 300 degrees and had sun tracking capabilities. We designed a website for him to sell his solar cookers: www.seeUsave/solaroven. This really didn't keep him busy, so we built a wind turbine to provide power to the workshop. Check out the wind turbine project

This didn't take too long and we ended up playing virtual golf on the computer twice a day. My physical condition and diabetes required more exercise than virtual golf, so we created Fox Hills golf course on the property. It is a 9 hole golf course that in reality is one huge sandtrap.

Take a look at Fox Hills - It is a really tough course. Now I get plenty of exercise every morning.

The course has eight par 4s and 1 par5 - so far we get very few pars and instead of birdies we call one under par an "ant".
